Job Description:

 Lutheran Crossings Enhanced Living, a senior care community located in desirable Moorestown (South Jersey), is currently seeking a part-time Receptionist. This position is per diem (as needed) offering flexible scheduling and competitive pay!

General Responsibilities:  Greet families and residents.  Answer phones and direct human traffic to various locations in our facility.  Coordinate deliveries and from all vendors, direct employees during emergency.  Order supplies for copier, postage and fax machines. 

 Duties include but are not limited to the following:

  1. Supports the mission and values of Lutheran Social Ministries of New Jersey, which is: Through the power of the Holy Spirit, and in response to God’s love as revealed in the Gospel, the mission of the Lutheran Social Ministries of New Jersey is to serve those in New Jersey who hurt, are in need, or have limited choices. 

  2. Greets all visitors professionally, answers telephone timely, courteously and appropriately, relaying appropriate messages timely and distributes mail.

  3. Maintains confidentiality on all resident and/or LCEL business.

  4. Accurately completes all tasks assigned.

  5. Maintains high level of accountability for communication of information within LCEL, notifying appropriate departments of operational information, complaints, concerns.

  6. Adheres to State fire and disaster procedures in an emergency and reports problems per policy. 

  7. Monitors doors and alarms at entrance to facility. Alerts appropriate staff to problems or immediate danger.

  8. Meets all assigned deadlines for tasks assigned.

  9. Completes annual compliance and HIPAA training and exhibits behavior as set forth by the LSMNJ Code of Ethics and Business Integrity in the performance of duties.

  10. Adheres to the Organization’s Policies and Procedures regarding the Compliance Program of the organization and is timely in reporting any possible concerns.

  11. Follows all local, state and federal regulations as they pertain to the position.

  12. Adheres to the Organization’s Policies and Procedures covering Privacy and Security in Compliance with HIPAA regulations.

  13. Other duties as assigned by Supervisor, necessary for the efficient operation of the department/facility.

Experience and Skills:

Education/Training/Certifications: High School Diploma/GED is required.

 Skill(s): Good communication, excellent typing and computer skills.  Able to facilitate copy machine, Email, and all MS Office software applications.  Ability to handle multiple tasks.

 Experience:  A minimum of two years' experience as a Receptionist is preferred.  Experience with office equipment such as PBX telephone systems, computer, copy machine, and facsimile machine.
