Job Description:


Lutheran Crossings Enhanced Living, a senior care community located in desirable Moorestown (south Jersey), is currently seeking a  Full-Time RN for our Assisted Living residents.

Supervises all licensed/certified professionals within the Assisted Living Facility/Residential Health Care Unit in the performance of their daily assigned duties, adhering to all Local, State and Federal regulations.

With this position there will be an on-call responsibility.


  1.   2. Delegates medication administration to Certified Medication Aides which includes medication administration training, auditing, compliance, continual communication and all documentation required associated with above.

  3. Responsible for medication administration for assigned residents.
  4. Keeps Administrator informed of any and all situations and changes that involve day to day operations.

  5. Appropriately interacts with residents, responsible parties, family, friends, physicians, other related health care and non-health care professionals, visitors, vendors and Local, State and Federal regulatory agencies in a professional and courteous manner.

  6. Responsible for or assists staff with admissions, transfers and emergencies within the continuum of care.  On call 24 hours.

  7. Performs assessments on residents upon admission, following an incident or during the performance of daily assigned duties.

  8. Documents all significant reported/observed medically related events or incidents within the resident’s file as outlined by all Local, State and Federal regulatory agencies.

  9. Relays pertinent information to all appropriate staff, physicians, responsible parties, licensing agencies as well as any other lawful authority via written and/or verbal communication as indicated by scope of event or incident as it relays to insuring the safety and well being if each resident.

  10. Exhibits pleasant and cheerful demeanor and maintains a helpful attitude towards employees, residents, and visitors.

  11. Contributes to resident and customer satisfaction goals by providing quality care and service.  Communicates service agreement changes with the resident’s responsible party.

  12. Assists with the completion of the resident’s plan of care, and annual MDS or approved assessment tool.

  13. Assists residents with activities of daily living, health related and psychosocial needs, serves as a health educator per resident need and/or request.

  14. Insure appropriate number of staff is available for each shift in the event of a call-in or “no show”. Maintains staffing according to budget and  ensures documentation of individualized staff issues is completed and takes disciplinary action as needed.

  15. Follows all universal precautions; practice safe and proper handling and disposal of all infected materials, equipment and lines, follows established fire procedures and ensures staff compliance.

  16. Alerts Maintenance Director of any safety issues within the building.

  17. Maintains a safe and hazard free environment and report any such violation to Administrator/designee.

  18. Completes or delegates all annual/probationary nursing staff evaluations.

  19. Completes all daily, weekly or monthly reports as outlined in the corporate policies and procedures on a timely basis meeting all prescribed deadlines.  Takes a lead role in leading QA committees and sub-committees.

  20. Adheres to all LSMNJ/Grace Assisted Living policies and procedures.

  21. Attends all mandatory inservices.  Completes mandatory continuing education hours to ensure uninterupted licensure and certifications needed for job qualifications.

  22. Completes annual compliance and HIPAA training and exhibits behavior as set forth by the LSMNJ Code of Ethics and Business Integrity in the performance of duties.

  23. Adheres to the Organization’s Policies and Procedures regarding the Compliance Program of the organization and is timely in reporting any possible concerns.

  24. Follows all local, state and federal regulations as they pertain to the position.

  25. Adheres to the Organization’s Policies and Procedures covering Privacy and Security in Compliance with HIPAA regulations.

  26. Other duties as assigned by my supervisor, necessary for the efficient operation of the department/facility.



Experience and Skills:

Basic Qualifications



Bachelors Degree in Nursing is required

NJ Nursing license required

CPR certification required.



Active listening and visual skills; Excellent verbal and written communication

Time management



Minimum of 2 years experience as a Registered Nurse
